standard 9: Leadership and collaboration
The teacher is a leader who engages collaboratively with learners, families, colleagues, and community members to build a shared vision and supportive professional culture focused on student growth and success.
The teacher:
a. prepares for and participates actively as a team member in decision-making processes and building a shared vision and supportive culture that effect the school and larger educational community.
b. participates actively as part of the learning community, sharing responsibility for decision-making and accountability for each student's learning, and giving and receiving feedback.
c. advocates for the learners, the school, the community, and the profession.
d. works with other school professionals to plan and jointly facilitate learning to meet diverse needs of learners.
e. engages in professional learning to enhance knowledge and skill, to contribute to the knowledge and skill of others and to work collaboratively to advance professional practice.
"I will collaborate in my grade level, school and district teams to ensure lessons are aligned with the Utah Core Standards and Objectives as well as the district requirements. I will work with students, families and colleagues to meet learning needs through communication and data collection."

GoalI will post all relevant documents, schedules and calendars onto the kindergarten website for parent access. I will post what the kindergarten team does on SharePoint for faculty to access.
ReflectionThis year I really did a lot to get the kindergarten website calendar up to date every term so that parents were aware of events going on at school. I also worked hard to get all the documents from my team on SharePoint. Next year I want to be better at communicating with more parent meetings and newsletters.

ReflectionI have loved having access to the class calendar from the internet. I want to make the kindergarten website a place where parents can access all the school announcements and events as well as pertinent kindergarten documents, report card rubric's and calendars. Also having our PLC documents on SharePoint made it really easy to pass them along between faculty members and administration.
