The teacher understands individual learner differences and cultural and linguistic diversity.
The teacher:
a. ensures inclusive learning environments that allow each student to reach learning goals.
b. designs, adapts and delivers instruction to address each student's diverse learning strengths and needs.
c. allows students different ways to demonstrate learning sensitive to multiple experiences and diversity.
d. creates a learning culture that encourages individual learners to persevere and advance.
e. incorporates tools of language development into planning and instruction for English Language Learners, and supports development of English proficiency.

GoalI will meet individual needs during guided reading instruction.
Reflection I was able to meet each guided reading groups needs and changed when I needed too. Next year I want to get guided reading set up and going quicker to start practicing literacy skills right away.

Artifact Guided reading lesson plans, groups and pictures
ReflectionI really liked the format my PLC team came up with to do guided reading. We took the Early Steps Reading Intervention lesson plan and modified it to meet our need as well as our students. Next year I want to incorporate other reading skills into the lesson plans.
